It is that time of the year when we get to enjoy with our friends and family and celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is an event in American history that refers to the first harvest by the Pilgrims in the ‘New World’ in October 1621. The feast lasted for three days, and it was attended by 90 Native Americans and 52 Pilgrims.
It’s a day in which friends and family share turkey, cornbread and pie, and exchange gifts before spending the rest of the day reflecting on past things.
If you are looking for the perfect Thanksgiving present, then we have compiled a few.
Hosting Thanksgiving is a thankless job, and it requires a lot of work for both mom and dad. From making sure the turkey is cooked perfectly, to baking the pie, and all the other dishes that need to be prepared. It’s a task that requires a lot of previous experience. For that reason, the gifts for the hosts should be truly special and meaningful. Bring a pie as a gift or maybe buy some quality alcohol to take off some expenses and work off their hands.
No one loves Thanksgiving the most then mom. Everyone gets around under one roof, often traveling hundreds of miles, to have dinner together. And it gets mom excited that she can cook a meal one more time for the kids who are away for college. So for those reasons, consider buying something that will make her remember Thanksgiving. A good place to start looking is a camera to capture all those wonderful moments, add to that a photo album to keep the memories in. Maybe take a few of them to a sketch artist and have him hand draw a sketch of everyone at the table. Maybe throw in some online coupons in the mix just to make it perfect.
Dads on Thanksgiving have two jobs! One is to listen to everything mom says and do everything mom tells him to do, and the second job is to serve the turkey. And only after he helps mom clear the table can he loosen up and rest by the TV. For those reasons, consider giving him something that will make him feel relaxed in, like a pair of slippers or a fancy cashmere jumper. Maybe a set of tools for his DIY projects, or a movie box set.
The most exciting event after Christmas and maybe Halloween that you looked forward to as a kid was Thanksgiving. You get to see all your cousins and spend some time with them, eat magnificent food, and relax in the living room. But most importantly, the gifts! Consider getting something that will be fun and exciting for them. Maybe a new board game, or a new popular toy that they can play with or you can get them a really cool shirt.
You can also spend Thanksgiving with your closest friends, and you can’t miss out on getting the perfect gift for them. Don’t go with anything crazy, a fine bottle of wine or a really nice box of chocolate should do the trick. You can probably find some discount codes for most of the gifts you’re going to be buying this year so it shouldn’t cost that much to get something for the friends.
