Laser Hair Removal

History

For thousands of years, men and women have wanted to remove unsightly hair from their bodies. It is recorded that in Egyptian times they used tweezers which were made from seashells to remove the hair from their bodies. In modern-day times there are various methods for removing unwanted body hair such as shaving, waxing, plucking, threading, and with a laser. The original laser used to remove hair was invented by Theodore H Maiman in early 1960.

This laser was very inefficient as it could only remove a couple of hair follicles at a time and used to cause some degree of skin damage by burning the skin surface.

How does laser hair removal work

But with the eLos™ Motive system it not only uses laser light technology but also bi-polar radio frequency to help destroy the hair follicle.
