A few of them are like my ex-washing machine that can damage your clothes. Maybe you consider cleaning laundry as a mundane task, but a washing machine which is tough for clothes can make it painful. So you need to be very selective when you are to pick a washing machine for you.

Here, I have some points that can guide you to choose the best washing machine according to the need for your family.

Types of Washing Machine

Many different types of washing machines are available in the market like Automatic, Semi-automatic, front loaders, Compact Front-Loaders, Agitator Top-Loaders, and High-Efficiency (HE) Top-Loaders. To choose the best washing machine for you, compare them with each other and find out the best one for you.

So, here we are comparing Semi-Automatic and Automatic Washing Machine and Frontloader and Top loader washing machines.

Semi-Automatic Washing Machine

Here are the Pros and Cons of semi-automatic washing machines.

The Pros:

You don’t need a permanent water connection for semi-automatic washing machines, and these machines are cheaper too.

The Cons:

Semi-Automatic washing machines need human to interference in the process of washing the clothes, and the processes are long too.

Automatic Washing Machine

Here are the pros and cons of the automatic washing machine.

The Pros:

They are energy efficient, and they don’t involve you in their work, all you need to do is just stuff it with laundry and get engaged with your other works meanwhile.

The Cons:

They are expensive and required permanent water connection.

Front Loaders

Front loaders are very popular in Metro cities. Here, have a look at its pros and cons.

The Pros:

Front load washing machines are excellent in washing the clothes. Front loaders are usually gentle on clothes. So you can pick this one if you also experienced the damage in clothes after a wash in your regular washing machine. Front loaders are energy and water efficient, some of them come with an inbuilt heater so that the water can be heated without any extra power consumption and other devices.

The Cons:

Front loaders consume lots of time in washing clothes. It takes approx. 60 to 120 minutes to clean the clothes. Front loaders need a permanent water connection, so that water can reach a machine with high pressure. Another issue with this washing machine is that you cannot add the clothes in between the washing session. Front loaders are heavier than top loaders, and you cannot move them easily. They need to be set up in one place only.

Top Loaders

Top loaders washing machines are usually preferred in small towns. The top loader has a subcategory; agitators and impellers. Agitator top loaders have a pole with a fin at the bottom of the drum to move the clothes around, and impeller top loaders have propellers at the bottom to move the water and clothes in the washing drum. Here have a look at its pros and cons.

The Pros:

The best part of these washing machines is that you can add clothes in midway.

The Cons:

Top loaders are generally not very gentle on clothes. A few washing machines have the options to choose the category of washing for your clothes like rough, normal and gentle. But overall they are not very gentle. Top loaders with agitator are very hard on clothes whereas top loaders with propellers tangled the clothes.

One of my friends gifted me a Harry Potter t-shirt for my birthday and being a die-hard fan of the Harry Potter series I loved that one. But it got damaged during one of its washing session. Ah! Seeing my favorite shirt in that miserable condition was a painful experience. That day I realized that washing machine should not only just clean the clothes but doing it with care is a must.

Conclusion

You need to do full-on research before selecting a washing machine that fulfills all your laundry needs. And the last suggestion for buying the best washing machine is to first understand your requirements and your budget before buying a washing machine. It’s better to wait for an ideal washing machine according to the needs of your family instead of buying a cheaper one according to your budget.
