Not-so-nice Nickname Press Has Given Meghan Markle

As stated by Inside Edition, some members of the royal staff are calling Meghan Markle ‘’duchess Difficult,’’ because they consider her ‘’demanding.’’ That was after it was reported that numerous employees of the palace quit their positions. Melissa Touabti was the first one to quit her job in November 2018. She was Markle’s personal assistant. The Sunday Mirror published that Toubati once “[broke] down in tears over the stress of her job.” An insider shared, “Her job was highly pressurized and in the end, it became too much,” adding, “She put up with quite a lot. Meghan put a lot of demands on her and it ended up with her in tears.”

The Sunday Times published that Markle’s help and secretary Samantha Cohen might be leaving soon too. Cohen earned a nickname ‘’Samantha the Panther’’ due to her “take-no-prisoners manner.” Even though Samantha worked for years for the royal family, she was only supposed to be a temporary help for Meghan Markle, until she adjusted to her royal life. Royal expert Victoria Arbiter said on Cohen’s leaving to Inside Edition, “It’s founded from absolutely nothing. It was said from day one that Samantha Cohen was only going to serve as the interim assistant to Harry and Meghan. She was never meant to stay any longer.”

With Cohen leaving, it will be difficult to find someone to replace her, especially after Markle hoped that she will stay by her side for a long time. Sam will be a huge loss,” said a source. “Going forward, Meghan might need someone cut from a slightly different cloth to traditional courtiers, who is not a career civil servant or royal insider.” The insider continued, “Meghan needs someone with reserves of energy and patience to help her define her future role.”

Inside Edition reported that it wasn’t just the palace employees who have found Markle difficult. Apparently, Prince William also had some issues with the Duchess of Sussex when Harry and Meghan started dating. Prince William even shared his thought on Markle and how she isn’t very fit for Harry, and “Harry went mental,” as stated by an insider. The source added, “The brothers’ relationship has not really recovered.”

The rumored feud between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle is also not going in favor for Markle. But, insiders claim that the relationship between the two Duchesses isn’t as bad as it seems, stating that while they come from “two totally different worlds,” the two royals have “really grown to love and respect one another.”

Another source continued, “The ‘feud’ is definitely being played up. Are they the best of friends? No. Do they speak every waking second? No. Do they hate each other? Absolutely not. … They will always have a bond that no one can break.”

The feud allegedly began when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to move from Nottingham Cottage in London to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, England. Sources have detailed that the move has nothing to do with their supposed fight. Meghan and Harry just want some alone time for themselves, and Meghan wants some space so that her mother, Doria Ragland can come and visit her, and help her when the baby comes.

To more dismiss the rumors, Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly decided that they’ll be celebrating Christmas with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle. Prince William and Kate have been switching between the royal and Middleton family each year. Last year, they celebrated with the royal family.

We can only hope that Meghan can relax during the upcoming holidays and that in the next years she can dismiss all the rumors and renounce the nickname ‘’Duchess Difficult’’ the press has given her.
